What she brings to the table
"My entire career has been in healthcare. In addition to working on the provider side at Central DuPage Hosptial, I've worked at two agencies—both focused on the health space. At Remedy, I've touched almost every client in every category, from medically based fitness centers to medical technologies to hospitals to public health initiatives. I draw on this experience daily when developing strategic marketing recommendations for our clients."

Working the media
"I have a special interest in media. In fact, that's what I focused on when I first started working here in 2000. Today, I use it to help clients find nontraditional channels to reach and engage their target audience—like using mass transit advertising with a text message component. Why not give consumers a way to participate while they sit (or stand) all the way to work? Given the urban setting of our Swedish Covenant Hospital client, we knew that shifting from a heavy print focus to a mass transit focus would work well to elevate their brand. Not only did we wrap the train cars with eye-catching yellow creative, we even utilized the ceilings of the EL cars—a Chicago Transit Authority first."

Not afraid to be nontraditional
"It's more challenging than ever to reach consumers given the distractions out there. So I helped implement a new practice at Remedy that makes tactical brainstorming part of the creative process. Working this way enables us to come up with media ideas that are unexpected and reach consumers in their everyday lives."

Her other career
"I'm a professional Cubs fan. If it's a Friday and I'm not in the office or a client meeting, I'm at Wrigley. Unless it's winter. In which case, I'm very sad."

In her spare time
"In the past couple of years, I've been running for different charities. Basically, that means my summer is spent participating in races for organizations like Y-ME, Girls on the Run and LaRabida Children's Hospital. Slowly, I'm working toward the ultimate goal: the Chicago Marathon."
